As it happens I have been experiencing gritty realism shooting t'factory folk of Donny! Makes you want to escape to the far east really.
On another note, I'm originally from Lowestoft in Suffolk, your original post describes this one-time boom town perfectly. Now it's just full of skanky goths! (an indoor markets)
