I bite my nails, so luckily I haven't had many problems at all. In fact, my mom always told me that my nails would get infected and I would have a disease or something, but I've proven her wrong. Plus, it's a rumour. Hopefully. Also, dirt doesn't get stuck under nails when you bite them, because there is no place for the dirt to get stuck into.
My pinky toe usually has an accident every few weeks or so. And it hurts more than I would like.
