Mercedes had a very nice period in the late 70's /early 80's
then released a pretty and modern 190 baby benz to compete with BMW 3-er http://www.henrysauto.com/images…
and moved on to make the ugliest, heaviest looking cars in their history
After a transitional period that brought a little hope
suddenly they came up with the best looking cars that looked both sharp and classy in C, E and S series
(to me, this C is a very direct and thrilling continuation of 80's 190 line)
I am disgusted, but not really disappointed with what I saw today. This is the way older models become affordable classics.
A friend of mine collects those beauties:
He has two so far, but it's just a beginning.
