Oakland:
used to be a cheap place to live and with it's bad rep. most people wouldn't think of living here. now the ghetto bungalows are starting at half a million and you still wouldn't want to live in some neighborhoods.
great parks with redwoods up in the hills, restaurants and 10 minutes from SF.
been here 30 of 37 years but will be moving to colorado for my wife to closer to her family. Hope I can make it happpen out there.
