It's a bucket filed with water, with a sawn-off two litre coke bottle in it with a tin-foil gauze over the top.
Burn your gear in the gauze by slowly raising the bottle. Remove foil.
Put your mouth over the bottle, plung back into water and breath in deeply.Then you pass out.

What you want is a "socket" top. A 13mm socket (stolen from Halfords), a bit of electrical tape wrapped round the top, and a bit of pipe gauze in the middle.
