friday night laid low, still kicking a cold.
saturday helped a friend move. mid afternoon we had finished unpacking and were lounging in the pool when we got the news that her sister's boyfriend collapsed and died in the shower, totally out of the blue (no history of medical problems, was only 30 years old!). helped her get ready to go to the airport.
plans for line dancing (!?) were cancelled and went to a friend's for dinner instead, where i saw pictures of another friend's recent trip to columbia.
sunday worked on my car and then headed into the great city of new york to eat dinner with a friend who just moved back from san francisco. we ate out on a back patio, with fireflies all around. beautiful!
weekend summary : would have been great, but for the death, that is really scary.
