Biography
Natasha is proud of her Great White North, always making a point to promote her country (such as the ‘all-Canadian’ music on the Not That Young website). She lives in Toronto, Canada, where she received her Bachelor in Fashion Design at Ryerson University. Along with this, she also graduated with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and received the Theo Kokkinos Award for Excellence in Couture Design and Techniques with her graduate collection, based on a mock music video concept developed alongside her design partner.

Although it is a bit unexpected for a woman, her ideal field is contemporary menswear! After working as an assistant designer for Toronto-based menswear label Bully Garments, her heart was set, this was where she was meant to be. Growing up in a family of boys, Natasha has always felt a kinship with this world and it has deemed to be her perfect fit professionally. Showing her debut collection at FAT Toronto Alternative Fashion Week in 2008 was the beginning of her own label, Natasha Ferro. A bit of a workaholic, she produced and sold this collection herself in boutiques in Canada as well as designed and sold made to measure garments for private clients.

Graduating at the highest level, Distinction, with her masters in Fashion Design from Domus Academy in Milan, Italy, she is now pursuing her career as a menswear designer.

Not That Young is a design collective founded by Natasha and three other designers in January of 2010. Their first collaboration, the T-Shirt Project, exhibited during Fuorisalone in Milan, Italy, in April 2010 with the Designers Block. The T-Shirt Project is four designer’s individual interpreation of the iconic t-shirt. From abstract experimentation to mass-production, NTY is attempting to breathe new life into the t-shirt’s rich history. With the success of the first exhibit, Not That Young’s journey is just beginning.
