Biography
Hana Chiang is one of the prominent graduating students at Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver. Originally from Taiwan, Hana’s interest in fashion came through her experiences in graphic design. During her time in university, she majored in graphic art and branding, as well as studying illustration, photography, electronic music, and film studies. Hana’s skills in music and film helped her to win a prize for her design work with a music video in an independent music film festival. She also worked as an intern in a costume design studio and experimented with screen printing on clothing.
After graduating from university in 2006, she worked as a graphic designer doing promotion and motion graphics at a multimedia theatre for children. Her desire to expand her design skills into fashion led her to Canada.
