i wonder how much money we (NT visitors) collectivley waste by reading and starting threads here at NT. I hear quite often people stating that they haven't got much done because of their time spent here. Thoughts?

i just got a random post generator to show up in the QBN Certified window... anyone know how i got it there?

it showed random post #'s and if you clicked on it, the PV-AN top Iframe had a picture of a downward pointing arrow and the bottom frame showed the random post.

I'm writing some software that does various color conversions. The problem is that I don't know very much about LAB or enough to write an algorithm to convert to it. I've already done some google / hotbot / teoma / etc searches, but to no avail. Anyone know a good source for getting info on this? Where is this information usually applicable too?

i'm looking for some sound editing software for noobs. i don't want something with a steep learning curve since i just want to do a few basic things: i want to be able to take a .wav or midi format file and lay them on top of eachother or sequence them, and then output them to mp3 or .wav. i have acid 2.0 pro, but it looks pretty overwhelming. Any suggestions?

i've googled for this a few times, and couldn't get exactly what i was looking for so i thought i'd see if any of you ppl knew of anything like this.

I'm looking for a site that has the most basic food groups listed with the complete nutritional value of each. for instance, it would give the calories, carbs, protien, etc for just one egg. and the same for a slice of white bread, a 3oz steak, etc. Anyone know of anything like this? thanks!

ok, time to put you ppl to the test.

i listen to music through winamp's shoutcast and sometimes i want to record a song while i'm listening to it.

i don't even know how to begin to approach this, so could someone tell me how to do this? special software needed, etc.

i'd prefer the format to be mp3, but i understand it may have to record to one format and then i'll have to convert it later (which i know nothing about either)
