Can anyone tell me the name of that British guy who until maybe this summer, nobody knew his identity? Starts with a "B" I'm pretty sure. Electronic music I think.

Why does he remind me of everything that uncool people did and thought was cool in 1998 (and still to this day I guess): bleached spiky hair, stupid sports sunglasses with colored lenses worn behind the neck indoors, giant diamond earring on a white guy, the goatee mustache combo that doesn't match the hair...

I am really amazed that this story even exists. I don't think at all that Obama is trying to say there's an official government office of the President Elect; I think it's simply referring to the place where he's speaking from, his "office." No different than saying the "bathroom" of the president elect, or the "house" of the president elect. So damn stupid.

President-elect Barack Obama is looking very presidential these days. When he makes an announcement, he is ringed by American flags and stands behind a lectern that has a very presidential-looking placard announcing "The Office of the President-Elect."

But the props are merely that. Under the Constitution, there is no such thing as the Office of the President-elect. Technically, Obama will not even become the president-elect until the Electoral College convenes after the second Wednesday in December and elects him based on the results of the Nov. 4 general election, as stated in the Constitution.

CSS/WPress - want to help? Nov 25, 08, 8:18 a.m.

I've been working on a new portfolio site and integrating my wordpress blog directly into the site's layout. I've run into some snags with the CSS in Wordpress, mainly in getting a single large background image to repeat consistently as the page grows longer. Works in IE, doesn't work in FF and Safari.

I've retooled a wordpress stylesheet before, using individual background images for the narrowcolumn, widecolumn, header, sidebar, etc. but this current layout is different.

If you're good with CSS and would like to have a look, shoot me an email. I'll do something to make it worth your while. I'm just at my wits end and want to get this figured out and finish up this site soon. Thanks!
