considering the UI17 conference in Boston, anyone been to previous years? Or recommend other great conferences?

Topics of interest would be creative leadership, responsive design, design thinking, etc from the creative side (more so than the technical side)

Wondering if anyone has successfully embedded video in a PDF presentation reliably?

Was challenged with this previously and it seemed to work on some machines but not others.

All the research Ive done indicates it should work if the video is embedded or linked as an FLV or SWF, and viewer has acrobat 9 and flash player.

Any advice or tips appreciated. Thanks

Just booked a last minute trip to San Fran, Thursday to Monday - Looking for fun events, good eats, beautiful places to take photos, etc.

Staying in Fishermans Wharf (and one day just north of Sausalito) - Also one day in Napa, so vineyard advice

Prefer less-touristy, local fav's and art/design related places/activities.

Doing identity work with 2 companies right now who are trademarking their products/services.

Can anyone provide advice / experience with using the mark.

I remember reading as long as the TM is used in body copy, letterhead, cards etc or copyright stated it was less important the TM be part of the actual logo / accompany the symbol

A while back I came across a slick home page with a flash element I would like to revisit.

There were 3 boxes in the middle of the page, attached. As you roll over each (the center one for instance) it would expand to reveal additional content - very fluid, smooth ui
