I have a good understanding of CSS and HTML (I know, big deal) but lets say that I'm interested in learning one of the C language or objective-c - is there a lighter language I should learn first to prepare me?

Clueless about this - so any advice would be helpful.

I remember an site somewhere that broke down all the different kinds of music (probably just western) into a visual representation of what music affected what, what music came around because of what and the origins of, say, The Blues (delta, memphis, gospel, etc.)

Recently watched a documentary on HBOGO called "No one dies in Lily Dale". Lily Dale is located in upstate New York and has the highest concentration of mediums/spiritualist healers on the planet.

You have more than one (like 3-5) great personal projects you want to work on but there is always so much time in the day + working at the JOB work? How do you guys prioritize? I realize everyone's process is going to be different - it just feels like I was lacking in any real personal ideas or design projects for a while, and lately they're just coming out of nowhere.

Lately I've been thinking that the way I measure success are stuck more in who I was and not who I am - the resulting feeling reaching goals or benchmarks is a hollow feeling that seems more nostalgic than satisfactory. We're wrapping up the work for the Garfield Park Little League and kicking off the next rally. If you ever wanted to contribute your expertise to people that could REALLY use it (and trust me, they're VERY appreciative of the work.) this is a great opportunity to do great work for great causes.

Hey guys,

So I'm working on branding a relief organization that takes place in Africa. My ECD is demanding something that looks hand-rendered and, let's face it, falls into all the stereotypes. (a jagged, hand-rendered hand icon) :-( I weep for my liberal-arts education.

SO... I'm out to prove we can make an elegant solution to this without falling into the "indigenous" and "primitive" (his words) look and feel.

Do you all have any examples that pull this off?
I'm going to show (RED) - but are there any others?
