Evening all,

I've been in this community for a few years now and have requested a lot of help for shitty/small things. Now I'm hoping to get someones invaluable help on an event myself, some colleagues and friends are throwing on July 7th.

We're hosting a boat cruise along the Thames in London, with 100% of the proceeds going to Cancer Research UK, a charity organisation close to many of our hearts.

We're in the early stages of planning, and without wanting to go in to too much detail at this stage (I'll make another thread about that closer to the date), we are hoping to get a designer and/or developer on board to work on a site, which will allow for the purchase of tickets to the event.

We've currently got an international DJ lined up with a couple more to be confirmed.

If any one out there has some capacity over the coming weeks (probably wishful thinking), please get in touch with me or leave a note below and I'll drop you an email.

Was curious if you guys use any websites for a purely functional/utilitarian purpose?

For example, when I wake up to find that my phone is dead but I have another 30 mins of sleep to embrace, I use http://onlineclock.net/ for a simple alarm clock.

I find this kind of thing, while not the best designed, but very functional, quite interesting. Just wondering if anyone has any other examples?

FIFA 12 Feb 20, 12, 4:46 a.m.

Okay, I've had FIFA 12 (on ps3) since it came out and wanted to ask around to see if I was the only one experiencing this frustration.

Keep in mind I've played FIFA since the 90s versions.

I play against my flatmate predominately and find this version, moreso than any others flawed throughout.

We both agree that it's as if the computer decides who it wants to win before kickoff and does everything possible to make that team win. These include, but are not limited to:

- Making the goalkeeper of chosen team exceptionally better than the opposition team's goalkeeper.

- Make the first touches (and movement in general) a lot better than the opposition team's.

- Through balls more effective.

- Tackling automated by the computer when the player is deselected. The other team's tackling will be exponentially worse.

- General "fuck ups" don't happen for chosen team.

Etc.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a way you can limit this? It's hilarious when it's on your side, but so frustrating when it's not.

It just seems that it's a flawed game. Seems to not happen when playing online either.

Anyway... Rant over.

Expansys seems the cheapest option. Just wondering if anyone has ordered from them before?

Alternatively, if anyone could recommend a place to order Apple TV to be delivered to Hong Kong (where you can't buy Apple TV), that would be great?

He has a UK iTunes account and from what I've read it should be fine as long as his broadband is 6mbps+ (which it is).
