Blank Applications for Logos

I know there must be a thread about this somewhere but I remember there being a site with all blank products and billboards for application usage. Anyone know of what that site is or any other site that offers the blank canvas for logo applications? I need to apply something to a blank "office interior" but can't find jack on google.

"creative"

So my boyfriend and I got into this little argument that the word "creative" was not a noun. I told him it was and he didn't believe me. He checked on Dictionary.com and apparently it doesn't show up as a noun. I then googled " 'creative' as a noun" and didn't realize how big of a deal it was. People are really angry that "creative" is a noun. wtf?

Susan Boyle

My professor, Dan Ibarra from Aesthetic Apparatus, discusses his feelings for Susan Boyle:

By now I assume (or if your aunt is on the internet at all) you have already witnessed Susan Boyle’s “moving performance” on ‘So you think you’ve got talent?’ I watched it and I’ll admit that it was very beautiful. She is an amazing singer (I hope I didn’t ruin the surprise for you) but fuck this groundswell of emotional support that she’s receiving. By being impressed by her performance it seems to me like we’re implying that we should first always assume that ugly people have no talent and be surprised and moved when they actually do. I’d have preferred people be impressed by her ability alone and not have her homeliness be such a huge reason to believe in her. Honestly, I’m much more impressed when “beautiful people” have actual talent. (“Wow, Brad Pitt is actually a really GOOD actor!”)

[end quote]

I couldn't agree more.

Interview Questions?

I've tried the filter and I couldn't find a thread on this...So here's my question:

For those of you who do the interviewing, what kind of questions do you usually ask the interviewees? Because of the interviews that I've been in, I've never been asked a trick question or even the "Strengths or Weaknesses" question, either. So what do you usually ask?

I might have two interviews lined up for Mono and Knock in Minneapolis and I'm doing my homework.

Years of experience

I'm essentially going to be an entry level designer, but when they ask how many years of experience I've had, do I (could I) state that I have had 5 years of internship experience? Should I compromise and cut those years by half? I'm confused...I don't want to sound like I'm way too ahead of myself, but I also don't want to come off as someone who hasn't been active in the industry. Or does it even matter?
