Bad Dream of the Day May 14, 11, 3:32 p.m.

fuck it, i know this is not design related.. but yep..

So last night i had one of the most intense dreams i think i have ever had. i remember it was the usual random shit that you usually would have, but then all of a sudden the Chinese Military started rolling tanks down the streets.. next think i know there was all out nuclear war happening and there was fucking chaos everywhere.

I was separated from wife and son and was trying to contact them.. but couldnt call them.
but then a friend of mines mother asked to borrow the phone, and then promptly disappeared with it. after asking around if anyone had seen my phone, someone lend me theirs to call to see where mine was.

My friends mum (who i might add i have really only met a few times and hardly know) said that she really liked the phone because she couldnt make calls on her's and thank me for letting her use it. I kinda freaked out as it was my only way of contacting my family, and this women just kept telling me it was awesome as she was finally able to call people.

the dream ended with me basically screaming down the phone to her that i would not rest until i hunted her down and made her pay for stealing my phone..

at the end of the call, i tried to scream in frustration, but as is often the way in dreams, you can never actually scream.. it ended up just being this tortured moan.

i woke up dripping with sweat..

i have NEVER had any dreams like that before.. ever.. and have not been talking about any of the topics anytime that i can remember recently..

nor have any of the characters been in conversation recently either.

anyway..

im sure most of you stopped reading a while back.. so . i will leave it here.

but yep, if my dream is anything to go by, nuclear war, if it happens, is going to be a fucked time.

Ok so i am having to argue with a client regarding placement of their logo on the front of a DL card they wanting..

This is what they want.. logo in top left corner

when i was a kid, like 6 or so.. i used to have this reoccuring nightmare. i can still clearly remember scenes of it, fragments of it.. as clear as if it was last night. anyway, i remember having it for at least a few months and it used to freak me out.. the dream was basically we were at a park and there was a rocket ship.. i stood on the steps just as it was taking off. the next bit i remember was being in this room, with cascading panels down the walls and a screen at the end, like it was a window.. the only other part i remember is being chased down a spiral staircase with burgundy carpet by a white rat.. and the rat would periodically stop and scratch at these back lit light panels.. it would then start chasing me again and eventually i would wake up in terror.

fast forward 30 years and today, looking thru the internet i found an image and as soon as i saw at it, as massive shiver ran over me. this image was one of the places in this dream. not just looked like it, but it was the same place. i can clearly see it still in my mind, and this image is it.

a quick google search and from carl sagans Cosmos tv show.. obviously as a kid i must have seen this show and without remembering fed it into my sub conscience and then was weaved into this dream.

i have to say, this was definitely one of the weirdest fucking internet moments i have ever experienced.

ok.. so after fucking around with the Canon 50mm 1.2 L for the past month, i have concluded that right now, given that i am still using a crop camera, this lens just isnt what i need for video..

and given that its going to be a while before i get a full frame camera, i have sent it back.

I am tossing up between the 24mm 1.4 L and the 16-35mm 2.8 L..

my current workhorse is the 24-70mm L..

my question to you lot is.. do any of you have these, or used them, or have any thoughts otherwise..
