Hotel Logos Aug 5, 11, 6:09 a.m.
Looking for examples of high end or boutique hotel logos. Ideally something that exudes "refinement".
Any suggestions?
E-mail Organization Jul 13, 11, 8:51 p.m.
I'm curious to hear what kind of tactics you busy bastards employ to keep your unruly inboxes organized.
I find I'm getting more e-mails lately than I can comfortably keep up with and though I use rules to shoot them into individual folders, they're getting lost.
Interview Websites Jun 14, 11, 7:55 p.m.
I'm looking for sites with interviews of interesting or relevant people.
It doesn't have to be design related. In fact, the less narrow the focus, the better.
Doing some research for a project and any help would be appreciated.
First one to win my approval gets a ride on my fancy swing:

Web Changes Site Apr 1, 11, 12:59 p.m.
I seem to recall a site whereby you could post notes for changes on a website (similar to acrobat) that would appear in a browser, but I've lost the link.
Any help?
How Picky Are You? Mar 30, 11, 12:38 p.m.
When you're communicating changes to a colleague, how do you deal?
Inevitably people do things differently than you would, so the outcome is going to be somewhat unexpected. Do you let a lot of shit slide or nit pick and hammer them into submission?
Font Management Software: Mac Nov 24, 10, 7:49 a.m.
I've been using the Pay version of Fontexplorer for some time now and just recently bought an iMac.
I'm conflicted as to whether to stick with it or move on. I've heard good things about Fontcase, but I'm concerned the comments are more about its UI design/looks and less about functionality.
Suitcase Fusion 3 is also an option, but I've not used Suitcase Fusion before and to be honest, haven't scoured around to read too much more about it.
I do like that you can comment on fonts and give them ratings in Fontexplorer which helps me organize them (I've accumulated way too many over the years), so it's got that going for it.
Has anyone tried a bunch and can offer some words of advice?
Applications Jumping in Front Nov 12, 10, 6:58 a.m.
This has been something that's interrupted my workflow and has grated on my nerves for some time, so I thought to pick the brains of the QBN masses for a solution.
Here's a scenario:
I've got Indesign open and decide I need to open Photoshop. I launch Photoshop and go back to indesign to continue working during the painful load time.
After Photoshop has done loading, it pops in front of whatever I was doing and cuts out my typing, gets in the way of my mouse, etc. Annoying.
This, of course, isn't relegated to only Adobe apps. It happens with every bloody app out there, it seems. If a PDF is being generated, even that pops in front when it's done loading.
Is there anything that can be done to stop this?
The World's Most Beautiful Place Aug 31, 10, 12:40 p.m.
What gets your vote for the world's most beautiful place?
Last day as a 20-something Aug 6, 10, 6:44 a.m.
I'm looking to you classless bastards for suggestions (real or ridiculous) of what I should do today that will cap off my 20s and leave an indelible mark on my life.
Other than murder.
Desk / Office Inspiration Aug 4, 10, 10:32 a.m.
I'm going to be moving into a new house pretty soon and am on the hunt for a cool and functional desk.
If anyone's got any pics of a creative workspace, I'm all for it.
Any suggestions?
PS: the first person who says Ikea gets one of these:
Exclamation marks!!!!!!! Jun 28, 10, 1:46 p.m.
They're everywhere!
People seem to be using them with reckless abandon these days!!!
I'd much rather people use photographs of breasts add emphasis to their statement followed by – or in conjunction with – the word "boom."
Can someone initiate that as a rule here on QBN?
Your Mom Is Clubbin May 25, 10, 2:32 p.m.
I'm not sure if any of your moms are featured here. If they are, I apologize in advance.

Also, WTF?
Fundraising Campaigns May 12, 10, 7:35 p.m.
I'm looking for some kick ass fundraising campaigns for inspiration.
I checked out Droga5's Tapwater project, which I thought was a pretty good example of an immersive campaign, but am stuck for finding others.
Video Game Developers May 5, 10, 10:43 a.m.
I'm looking for some good video game devs that can make a game (or skin an existing one) for a corporate client.
Preferably in the Toronto area, but I'm having enough trouble finding ones that will get back to me, so anything at this point will do.
Cheers, Qoob.

POS Font ID Apr 7, 10, 1:51 p.m.
Can anyone ID this typeface?
I've tried whatthefont and the like but have come up with nothing.
I'll give you a cookie if you can do it.
Filetypes You Hate Mar 18, 10, 1:36 p.m.
Personally, I hate getting eps files. They bog my system down every single freakin' time and I don't really see an upside to using them.
And lately, TIF files sent to me by a photographer are becoming corrupted and won't open. When I recopy the file, it works fine.
Anybody else?
