Am I just an idiot or are you really not able to copy text from an InDesign doc to an Illy document?

It's text on a path and I really really don't have time to recreate the path.

Thoughts? Actions? Words of scorn?

That's right. Our snow storm in Seattle kicked off with two huge claps of thunder. People have left their cars on the freeways and the world is coming to an end. I think there's a couple inches of snow. All hell has broken loose.

Anyone use it much? Any good places for tutorials or other resources?

I'm doing some digging but most of it seems to be for digital photographers batch renaming files, but I know there's more to it than that.

I just found out you can use the Mac OS Automator to run Photoshop as well.

I'm in dire need of a serious shortcut. Maybe someone could tell me if I've got any options.

I need to take someone's handwriting and turn it into a vector shape as it's going to be a headline for a poster I'm working on. I've got the handwriting scanned as a tiff at 600dpi.

Any thoughts, ideas, or recommendations?

Help. I've had a couple bars of an 80's electro type song in my head for the last two weeks. I can't think of lyrics and I can't come up with anymore of the song. It's killing me.

It's along the lines of early Prince, Morris Day, Brick, Dazz.

I can't even remember if it was a female or male singer. I feel like it was a female singing, but maybe only the chorus. I feel like it's been sampled too.

I'm totally screwed...

For those of you that work in an agency, I'm interested in knowing how the flow of work is handled. Are you allotted a specific amount of hours to work on a given project during the day/week in order to stay within budget?

For instance: Do you receive 4 hours to work on client A and 4 hours to work on client B thus filling an 8 hour work day?

Just interested in knowing how its handled elsewhere.

Hey all, I'm doing a little research for a possible project and figured I'd hit up the masses for additional info.

Client is looking for a basic brochure with a cover, table of contents, summary, and then pages of content. However they want to give their employees the ability to remove certain content that doesn't apply to a particular client.

Any thoughts on a solution for something like that. Are the user editable fields within a PDF an option? Or is that more than the form fields are meant to do?

In the past few years I've seen some artwork/clothing lines/posters with a sort of hip-hop heraldic feel. A royal feeling. Roman numerals. Wings. Guns. Skulls. Everything's sort of blasting from behind the main image.

I'm doing a little research but am having a total mental block. Could someone point out a couple of resources or images or brands?

Okay I'm having some illy issues. I'm fully updated on CS3 running Leopard on a G5.

The PSD's i'm "Placing" into my AI file are going in just fine, but the little "Update Link" button is coming up grey, as are the menu commands.

Anyone have any ideas? Is this another one of those little Leopard/CS3 bugs? I'm selecting the "flatten" option when I place my PSD so that I don't get an Object for each layer of the PSD.

What the hell!? Why won't Acrobat let me convert a bunch of jpeg's to pages in a PDF now?? Previously I could use the "Create PDF" command and then choose from multiple files. I did this when I was using 10.4, but now I've upgraded to OSX 10.5 and suddenly this doesn't work anymore! That's the only difference I can think of. I'm still using CS3. Why oh why!?
