nice site, don't know how I feel about the work. It doesn't look as polished as their own site.

I feel the site lacks in hierarchy when it comes to display information about project. That left frame could just go and hide left, that would make the site more airy. Not sure about all the sound gimmicks, looks like a CSI episode. The logo itself lacks in aesthetics, somehow the ACDC metal like feel clashes with the modern feel of the site. Sorry, not for me.

This site for example is 3 years old now, yet it is still up-to-date [not the work since it seems to have stopped in 2005]. That's because they got rid of all the unnecessary and stuck to the bare minimum. Modern feel, timeless. Trends are trends.

I just posted this slightly irate rant on his blog... (basically I'm trying to say who does he think he is? him > "woah, hey guys I can reach out to you" - fud)
my rant... "I also think (whether spelt correctly or not) that your site name is pretty repulsive.
Are you ridiculing them?
They do not want to speak to anyone, least of all you, ranting about design which is really completely meaningless to them in their seclusion... they have MUCH bigger psychological problems to work out, not eg 'hey, what do you think of this new mtv video made out of mashed potato and rainbows'. THEY DO NOT CARE, do not speak using their name with your url."

Just in case anyone couldn't follow wtf josimar is talking about.
"Hikokomori" (or Hikomori): In Japan there are an increasing number of young adults who choose not to participate in the preconditioned path of society. They withdraw in the confinement of their apartments or rooms and spend their days alone with things they feel they need to do.
These solitary people are called Hikikomori which means they have withdrawn from society. This psychological phenomenon is referred to as Hikimori in some western languages. "

So josimar thinks this dude is insulting these fragile people by using the name HelloHikomori.

"They withdraw in the confinement of their apartments or rooms and spend their days alone with things they feel they need to do."
Which is basically every designer holed up in their room/office/studio hacking away at work.
