heard about these a while back as im into my lomo's and holga photography.

Nice choice for an Editors Choice though

Just thought i'd show some approval
Rather than me moaning the EC's are usually links we've all seen before.

Didnt realise these cameras were going to shot onto 35mm
    VERY good news

Some more info on the cam.. I contacted SuperHeadz a few weeks back, but can't get an order in for one yet.. only drawback is the US$100 price... which I have heard could be as high as 150 when they get here...

while this is a good looking camera, it's all so a piece of crap.
stay away from plastic cameras like holga, lomo and now BBF

if you want to spend 100+ on a camera pick up a fantastic used Olympus XA model... rock solid, fit in your pocket.. every shot, all manual and still worth the same amount if you decide to resell it...

and why pro photographers carry this on their vacations

Toy cameras aint shit robo, they just arent high quality or 100% reliable.

Yup i've ended up with blank films or fuct up shots due to the toy cameras quirks, a little dissapointing at the time - especially if its the only camera you had on you to record an event or scene.

But thats more than made up for by the amount of times i've been blown away with the results I get due to the quirks of these cameras.

If i'm out taking photos then i'll always take my digital camera and one of my toys along too, so I get to record things accurately with the digital and also with whatever the holga or whatever has to offer (perfection, heavy vignetting, lightleaks etc)

no it's not digital, it's analogue but I think I offended the plastic camera crowd, I have been let down way too many times by them when I would go out shooting. Seems like such a waste to shoot a whole roll and get a few cherry pics. I would rather shoot a whole roll and come back with most all of them of high value. if you want light leaks you could always flash the case or do a dark room trick...

I would also recco Kodak's High Def 200 or 400 for any of the toy cameras or any other film camera it's fantastic...

btw, this is my latest "toy" purchase, i chose this over the d700 because of it's closeness to film cameras, http://www.sigma-dp1.com/

this image convinced me to get it.

Robo- no offense mate- I just think you're missing the point of the toy cam.. I spend 8 hours a day with a Hassy and a Phase One back shooting giant files to a huge computer.. so when I pack up and want to go shoot for fun, I take a Holga. When you shoot with a Toy Cam, you have to expect the unexpected, and not every shot is going to come out... you'll get light leaks, stuck shutters, frames that blend together.. but thats the point.

If I wanted to get an exact result, I would drag the Hassy out with a big digital back on it.. or the D300..

But at the end of the day, I want to have fun with it- not make it 'work' so I choose to shoot all toy cams, and all film. I'll take the risk, cas the reward is worth it.
