Nice art, horrendous UI design, period.

Thanks QBN - very happy to see people enjoying horacios photography and that people are enjoying the site.
For anyone interested in how the glitch effect works it not pre-rendered but created by a programmatic effect. We originally built the effect in processing but realized we could port it to AS3. We deconstruct each image's byte array, move the bytes around, and then re-compress as a new image within flash. By displaying a number of these scrambled images together quickly we can create the tv-tuner glitch effect.
It wouldnt work for any photographer, but I thought it was appropriate for Horacios because many of his images have a deconstructivist theme and are very colorful so work well with the effect.
I dont know what organic did not like about the design but can say the goal was to have a minimalist feel and let the pictures draw you in. I realize its not going to appeal to everybody.
