Jeremy seems a really sound guy i've spoken to him a bit on Facebook. Very down to earth and says it like it is.
He's a classically trained pianist and comes from a family of pianists, he's also a good drummer too. These skills combined make him one of the best pad-hitters around. Watch his own videos on his youtube channel or ones of his live performances.
Theres some good interviews with him floating about too. One where he tells of deconstructing herbie hancock (and other jazz kinda stuff) tunes and recreating them by playing all the key parts and drums etc - teaching him jazz and funk theory.
Not everyone who hits pads needs to be of hiphop or skrillex styling with their baggy hoodie on with cap on squint :P
The cost between the older controllers £199/£329 and newer ones £269/£469 isn't that much actually and i'd actually LIKE to have the coloured pads to group instruments etc so i'd just pay the extra bit.
£199 for a mikro is a good price for someone starting out. Plus you'll get the new 1.8 upgrade and MASSIVE the free synth.
