  I think it's pretty useful.

  It's not about making stuff move when you scale it but about making the site useful on multiple devices.

  For example, a small microsite i'm developing right now is being responsively designed so that when we talk about our upcoming product launch we can use any available device to show the product. Our smartphones and tablets become better sales tools this way.
