  See, this is why I'm glad they renamed the wireless card in Macbooks to Wi-Fi instead of Airport in the latest OS. Calling a wireless card in a laptop the same thing as Apple's branded Access Point, The Apple Airport, is just stupid. Sorry about the confusion, Cygnus04.

  If it's your laptop connecting to your wireless router that's the problem, the internet provides a multitude of suggestions:

  hansglib's suggestion:
  - Removing the Access Point from your list of Preferred Networks (Network Preferences -> Advanced -> Preferred Networks)
  - Rescan and reconnect to your access point.

  OR

  /Library/Preferences/SystemConfi...

  1/ disable airport
  2/ delete the plist file
  3/ enable airport and select your favorite network again

  Bear in mind that this will erase ALL connections in your list. Be sure you remember the passwords to reconnect for the first time afterwards...

  Other things to try:

  - Manually configure your IP address for the wireless (Network Preferences -> Advanced -> TCP/IP -> enter in IP, Subnet mask and gateway -> Apply) - sometimes the DHCP servers in old/crappy routers have trouble handing out IP addresses.

  - Reset & reconfigure the router just so you know you have eliminated all possibilities.
