I'll be perfectly honest here.
Since there is no native app that i'm aware of for either Android or iOS i rarely, if ever, decide to scan a QR code.
Scanning for QR's must be built into the native camera app for a given device if it's ever going to gain the traction that marketing and advertising wants it to.
Granted, i've seen some interesting things done with AR and QR codes but most of them have been gimmicky at best.
The reality is i'm not going to take the time or put forth the effort to open up a 3rd party QR app, scan, and wait for the result unless I can do it quickly and easily.
