  Funny you mention that you think her sponsor should pay. I was thinking the same thing but thought Smith Helmets should pay. I know these athletes are going bigger and harder than ever but this is the second Smith sponsored rider to die in the past few seasons (C. R. Johnson '10). I'm not blaming Smith or saying their product is inferior but I think sometimes helmets give a person a false sense of security.

  • Monster was the host/sponsor for the event she was practicing for. I'd imagine her gear sponsor kicked in large amounts via the site.– horton1/2
