  Again, I am sure 95% of people not from the US have their eyes peeled out in stupor when reading here about 'choice', be it parent's or kid's.
  The whole concept of doing it is just as absurd as cutting off the kid's nose to avoid sneezing in their future. OK, it is performed but only in rare occasions of medical necessity.

  If it's done, it's done, no biggie. But those earlobe-stretching tubular earrings or those tribal plates placed under cut-out lower lips make just as much sense to non-Americans.
