I know this is old but I think I figured out the problem. No, I didn't use any filters but there seems to be a slight defect with my lens.
It's possible for it to slide out of f22 to something between f22 and f16. This overexposes images yet it still works at this setting. The aperture lock on it is a bit dodgy.
I just make sure it's always set to f22 now. Problem solved.
- Oh and the overexposure seems to make the fringing worse on objects that wouldn't normally fringe all that badly.kalkal
