  Public transportation almost works as a charm here. Trains & subways comes/leaves frequently and aren't normally delayed.
  So instead of staying at big pricey stations like Shinjuku or Shibuya you'd save some good yen just staying a couple of stations away.

  Tip 2: use that money to buy things.
