So I got this very acrimonious letter from Verizon today saying they were going to turn off "any associated services linked to your account number."
Turns out I'd paid the full amount onto my Metro card instead of my electricity even though they use the same account details..meaning it was essentially credited with $350. I'd done this nearly a month ago the day the bill came too.
I can't believe that there is no checks in place on things like this..like who the hell pre-pays their Metro card?! Shouldn't they be telling people if there is a credit as this is odd? I just find it hard to believe they can get heavy handed so easily without even checking. I've been with them for 3 years and never missed a single bill. Just goes to show how hawkish you have to be with these companies - I could gone ahead and paid the account again and they'd of said nothing.Damn, life is hard yo!
Anyone else had similar experiences?
