  Most of the major amounts of capital in the world have been created by trading natural resources. The majority of the richest dynasties have been created this way. To argue that just as many (or more) people benefit from the idea of global warming is ridiculous.

  Of course people will try to make money from possible solutions to global warming, because we live in a capitalist society. The alternative would be a complete change of economics.
