  The problem I have with this line of attack, it that it's convenient for the status-quo to believe that global warming doesn't exist.

  If global warming does exist, it means that the people who have traditionally made money throughout modern history, will have to change tack and do things differently.

  It's a huge inconvenience to those who hold power; realistically - if true - the full effects might not show until those currently in power are six feet under.

  People are greedy, and people are lazy - and those who have something, are not likely to want to give it up.

  Think about who is gaining from the concept of global warming, and who's loosing out. I can't imagine that any 'new world order' with any intelligence would invent such an ineffective and convoluted story to extract more value from the way things are.

  Personally, I think the only thing up for debate, is why is the earth warming up. This is perhaps unclear - BUT, it stands to reason that if you're reckless, and a lot of pollution is created by that reckless behaviour, then the chemistry of the planet is going to be altered. Every action has a consequence; this much is certain.
