  after looking into a few other things, one popular theory on the webz is another router close by broadcasting on the same channel.

  I like the idea of manually setting a high IP, I will give that a shot.

  I powered cycled my machine, and the router, but not any of the others, I'll have a big shut down party followed by a race to see who boots up the fastest.
