  check out sparkfun for sure... but make sure you know a geek that can solder and program with the arduino hardware/software

  its easy stuff if you have an electrical engineering degree, for creatives like me you might have to burn thru a few capacitors and LED's before you get it right. but its cheap to put together and there is a lot of control available if you build it yourself as opposed to buying off the shelf parts.
