  I'll apply Patton to design:

  Design is an art and as such is not susceptible of explanation by fixed formula.

  May God have mercy upon my clients, because I won't.

  A good plan executed today is better than a perfect plan executed at some indefinite point in the future.

  There is only one principle which is not subject to change. It is to use the means at hand to inflict the maximum amount of design on the client in the minimum amount of time.

  It is the unconquerable nature of the designer and not the nature of the software, typefaces or images he uses that ensures victory.
