My least favorite movie cliche is the "What About Bob?" thing. You've got a character who's doing something and everybody in the movie thinks he's an asshole for it, a bad guy, or whatever. But you as a viewer totally sympathize with the guy. In "What About Bob?" the Bob character was a patient of a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist went on vacation. Bob followed him there and kept getting up in his shit in his stupid, bumbling, "funny," "harmless" way. Everyone in the movie thought the psychiatrist character was an asshole for trying to get Bob to get the fuck away from him on his vacation.
In reality EVERYBODY WOULD UNDERSTAND that. Or at least most people.
I hate that shit.
