  This coming Saturday the Vancouver Public Space Network will be hosting our first summertime Party in Public Space in one of the city's best kept secrets - New Brighton Park.

  Starting at 3:00pm, the party will feature DJs, games, snacks and the same energy that helped to rock our Sea Bus and skytrain parties.

  So the deal is - we supply the disco (and related) beats, you come with blanket and picnic goodies for yourself.

    Robson sucks these days, there are only like 2-3 decent shops the rest are crap. Hit up Gastown.– 2cents2/3

    West 4th is good, and South Granville is good for furniture/home shopping.– 2cents3/3

  I recommend the Spanish banks. Try to go at low tide, the beach extends really far out. Very nice.

  Zulu records is great. Tons of stuff. Go to the Naam for lunch after you go to Zulu. Awesome veggie food.

  These are things I love about thee:

  - the Grouse Grind (solid hike, do not wear jeans)
  - Commercial Drive (food and lovely kooky people)
  - Jericho Beach
  - English Bay
  - Spanish Banks
  - Wreck Beach (be nude, be free)
  - Pomme Frites on Davie street at 2am
  - Barde on the Beach (shakespeare by the water)
  - Stanley Park Sea Wall (better on wheels)
  - Richmond night market (not really Vancouver, but close)
  - Dragon Boat festival at the Plaza of Nations (happens sometime in the summer)
  - Lynn Canyon (North Vancouver, hike)
  - Granville Island (market, cafes, galleries)
