hey All,
Anyone a mobile DJ or Club DJ, or Both? I'm working on some key distinctions between the two. What sets them apart. And who inspires to be what? Any feedback will be helpful. Thanks!- Jul 3, 08, 7:06 a.m. – Permalink

new(ish) from serato, perfect for "mobility" all in one, just add laptop and your mp3's

its subjective as to what type of music the djs play whether its a mobile event or club event. the difference is atmosphere and the type of event it is. most club events, you'll be doing time slots, get paid well, and all you have to do is pack your music (laptop nowadays). mobile djs bring the club to you.
most people pay to go to a club to hear a dj bc of his reputation or repertoire , whereas a mobile dj, you're hired to come cate their event and you're probably no more important than the cook or bartender at the event.

Some of the best underground DJ's ride around with massive sound systems so are these peeps technically mobile djs.
most of these people would never play in a club - too many rules! Some of the best parties i've been to are open air free parties in some secret location (usually woods on private land) in the south west of england. Rave on!
