  hey All,
  Anyone a mobile DJ or Club DJ, or Both? I'm working on some key distinctions between the two. What sets them apart. And who inspires to be what? Any feedback will be helpful. Thanks!

  a DJ is a disk jokey, someone who goes around in club and plays music.
  mobile/club are the same thing for me

  Depends on who you ask. You say Club DJs to me and I think nasty commercialised rap or Tossers in Ibiza. You say mobile I think about that guy called Dave....

  its subjective as to what type of music the djs play whether its a mobile event or club event. the difference is atmosphere and the type of event it is. most club events, you'll be doing time slots, get paid well, and all you have to do is pack your music (laptop nowadays). mobile djs bring the club to you.

  most people pay to go to a club to hear a dj bc of his reputation or repertoire , whereas a mobile dj, you're hired to come cate their event and you're probably no more important than the cook or bartender at the event.

  Some of the best underground DJ's ride around with massive sound systems so are these peeps technically mobile djs.
  most of these people would never play in a club - too many rules!

  Some of the best parties i've been to are open air free parties in some secret location (usually woods on private land) in the south west of england. Rave on!

  a mobile Dj does weddings, and generally plays radio hits people want to hear, and takes requests.

  A club Dj has a big ego, takes no requests, and if people in the party are not dancing is because the crowd was lame.
