Driving to the southern coast from London. I've never been there before, so the plan is to take 8 days and just start driving along the southern coast - starting at Exeter

haha, yeah in a way I think it is better to hear "DON'T GO HERE" instead of "yeah, check out this place, it's cool". Thanks

we have just been to cornwall for 2 weeks in the caravan :-) we stayed in between tintagel and boscastle here > http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/Pla…
both well worth a visit. very quaint but lovely. make sure you have a few cream teas mmmm
you can camp there as well as caravans. tis lovely, a stunning place to get away from it all and chill. we traveled around a bit to port isaac (great fresh fish fo rthe bbq) and st ives etc, PS dont bother with the tate tis shite!!! depends what you wanna do i guess. it was my 1st time in cornwall and i loved it. stunning coastline and amazing walks.
there are reports of basking sharks there at the moment. a lot of surfing and scuba diving/snorkling etc.
have fun

From Exeter you can drive down the coast going towards Plymouth but by the country roads...then visit, Totnes, Dartmouth, Dartmoor, Salcombe, then St Ives, Penzance....Loads of nice scenery and good restaurant (Padstow = Rick Stein if you like fish of course)..etc
