Dear Lukefry,
I looked at your website but none of the links work. So for a start I'd make sure your site can be viewed on all browsers (I'm on safari).
Also, you could do a lot worse than go through a recruitment agency.
An agency will look at your work at judge (with great experience) the kinds of places that would suit you. Most of the places you probably love may not be hiring and if they are then you may not be right.
Best way to find a job in london is to broaden your search. Building up a good relationship with a recruiter is the best thing I ever did. They always know everyone in the industry and if you're on their side then you're well in.

baskerville does make a good point but went the other way for me to honest. i found recruitment agents useless so i just called the creative directors myself. plus it costs a studio thousands to hire you thru an agent so think my way is better.

i reckon do both. He's at an early stage in his career, seems silly to limit connections.
As a freelancer I keep all doors open because you never know when one of them is going to come though with something useful.
In my experience, opportunities multiply if you take them, they diminish if you don't.

you've got nothing to lose though right? it's like you're looking at the obstacles instead of the opportunities.
4 years ago i applied for a job that i didn't really want at the beeb but thought it might be a way in or at least good interview practice. At the interview they said i wasn't right for that particular job but pointed me in the direction of another job, which i subsequently got. i ended up getting BAFTAs and D&AD awards and Emmys out of that job as well as learning a load of skills and broadening my network in a massive way.
My point is, unless you've got something better to do, go for everything! It's all valuable experience.
