I think since it is going to be a mural there is lots of room to play with more detail in items like the tree and animals. I know this is just a comp, but have you thought about the extent of detail you would put in the final piece?
Also, the yellow at the bottom reminds me of a desert and the green looks like cacti.

it's actually green, the only yellow is in the sun.
Yes I would lke to incorporate some detail not much more though.
I kind of would like it to have a silk screened look, and not as realistic I guess. I also realised that I turned the painting in and there's a giant section on the left side that is not painted black.
