Sorry about the accident.
I think the definition of totaled is when you car's damage exceeds the value of the actual car. This looks like a lot of damage, and I would probably put it in the totaled category, but insurance is going to want a quote on that first.

When its that bad you really need it to be totalled. They have to give you enough cash to get a like-for-like replacement, wheras if they agree to get it fixed for you, you are then left with a damage-repaird car that has very little resale value.
So kick that thing a few time to be sure, then shit in the glove box.

yea the thing that sucks is here in El Paso the BMW dealrship pretty much thought we were a joke when we went in to look at them in 05 , we bought this one in Santa Monica in a heart beat ... we drove it from cali to tx , and this was the end of the road! oh well ..... it's just a car right ...right ...

just put some new tires on it. glad to hear she's ok. honestly, your ins company will call it totaled and take the car. then they'll sell any usable parts to make their money back. if the engine's not too bad that's worth quite a few grand right there and i imagine the entire interior is mint.
