Hey peoples,
So i'm updating my portfolio. Initially i was using this new version to teach myself PEAR, GD2 and jQuery, so i'd really like the functionality tested to make sure i haven't noobed anything.
Along with that i'd like to hear thoughts on the new design and layout. You can get to the test site at:
http://www.yaypaul.com/index.php…Thank you!
PP.S. I am aware of a few issues in IE6 and i'll get round to fixing them when i can be arsed.

hmm, you stole my floating nav system from http://roanneadams.com/ ! jk.
ditch those diagonal lines in the bg. I'm thinking I would have the hover state of your boxes be the normal state and when hovered over you see the work. all your images look kind of generic right now, doesn't add to you as a designer.
your about and contact links should be highlighted or something like work is when you hover.
just my thoughts.

Citizen_h > I know what you're saying about the thumbnails, that's the GD2, its building all the thumbnails from the main files when the page loads. I'll have to see if there is some tweeking i can do, i really don't want to go back to hand making thumbs!
Stu > I thought you might recognize it, cheers. :D

Humm haven't seen that site before doesnotexisit, i shall take a gander, not that i can read Japanese. ^^
I actually started with square boxes and moved to a bigger format for the newer work. Background started out white, which is my usual preference for a portfolio, but it just didn't look quite right.
Nice site though.
