  i am not sure what qualifies as indie rock these days but if you are looking for some recommendations for bands that dont sound like modest mouse then here are some albums (old and new) that i've been listening to the past week:
  portishead - Third
  black mountain - In the Future
  the twilight sad - Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters
  nin - Ghosts i-iv
  british sea power - Do You Like Rock Music?
