    my vote:
outside camden town tube, next to barclays.

every single time i catch a bus from that stop, no matter what time of day or night, someone is selling crack and all sorts are buying it.

what's your vote for dodgiest london bus stop?

bizarrely - this very same place ranked "most obviously shady place in europe" at the end of a round europe holiday I took 2 years ago with my ex. After spending a pretty wild 6 weeks going all over the shop for late nights in unfamiliar territory, in places we had been told to watch out in, London trumped everywhere. At 5 in the afternoon.

Then we went home to Glasgow. Ha.

Funny, it was always like that just there, even when I was a Caaamden dweller 18 years ago. I wonder what it is about that little area that works so well for the PPP?

Anyway, my vote... Outside Superdrug, Boundary Road, Portslade. Won't be known to anyone else here but should be the subject of international scientific scrutiny. It seems to be mecca for genetic anomalies. Like a weird illustrator's portfolio brought startlingly to life.

Camden and Brighton. If they were people, they'd both be helping the police with their enquiries.

the brixton woolworth's is pretty dodgy, but i've had worse experiences at the one further up effra road, on the way to brockwell park. i was sat there one AFTERNOON, kiddies running about and all, and some crackhead came over and sat down next to me on the little red bench and began SMOKING CRACK. right there. on the bus stop.

    i got a contact high. :l

    • sorry about thatskt1/7

    Can I ask a question?

Crack's a bit 20th century for Glasgow yet, but do crack heads do that same skin and bone, stiff as a plank fast-walk around town that smack heads do?

you know the one, where you can see every sinew in their disintegrating body twang with every wound up step...

    • crackheads have more scabs and a lower centre of gravity. they tend to scramble.paraselene1/7
      thank you ms attenboroughkelpie2/7
they tend to be more loungey too. but some bounce. it all depends.skt3/7
the stiff as a board march is awesome though. and why are their trousers always too short for them?skt4/7
they stole them from their non smack head little siblings, I should imaginekelpie5/7

by the way, it sonly just occurred to me that crack hasn't really devastated Glasgow yet purely because it has *so many* smack heads that they haven't actually had time to notice a new high is doing the rounds, and no one else is left to try it.

You know its not easy being a full time scag hound

    • anyway, I digress, back to bus stops...kelpie

I just remembered this... Dollis Hill, can't remember where the bus stop was, but I was sat there waiting for a bus to take me to college when this bloke sat down next to me. I didn't look at him at all and he didn't do much of anything but after a while he was nagging at my peripheral senses for no apparent reason. From the corner of my eye he was sat a bit slumpy and had a burgundy carrier bag clutched on his lap. He was a big bloke and dressed very shabbily. When I eventually looked in his direction there was no bag at all, just loads of oozing thick red blood and what looked like a few bits of Fray Bentos... I nearly feinted. I said OH FUCKING HELL and he just shook his head and closed his eyes. I ran home... pre mobile phones btw... and called 999 and they came and got him but they told me not to approach or try to do anything fro him until they got there. I took a blanket back though and tried to drop it over him but it just ended up on his legs ... didn't want to drop it on any vital fray bentos stuff... and the ambulance came quickly... but he apparently died before they got to hospital. Really sad. I never found anything more out about it other than that he had died, despite giving evidence to the police and stuff. I think he had been stabbed viciously in an attack. Dollis Hill and Willesden Green used to be fucking rough as you like.

    • You 'just remembered this'?

Jeez.. what sort of stuff keeps you up at night?

No idea on the bus stop, but a mate of mine was down in London for the weekend a few years back. He felt a tap on his shoulder, and as he turned this guy hit him in the face with a knuckle-duster on, split his bottom lip in half and cut up into his top lip too!!!! He needed 70 odd stitches and had to drink out of a straw for weeks! ...Lovely place London!

What about Coldharbour Lane in Brixton. Dogstar pub as great, but just about everytime we went. Some fucker would try and rob us, sell us gear or just generally noise us up.

    • Yeah, that corner and down the lane are completely hackletown.Spookytim
