    What did they do to this thing? It selects everything on the layer no matter what setting I have it on, or the tolerance. WTF.

    are you on the right layer?

    I prefer Select > Color Range. Its the same idea but way better because you get a preview. The only thing its missing is the contiguous option.

    I use the wand in a specific manner while doing my illustrations. It's worked just fine until cs3. now it selects everything on the layer with pixels. It's quite frustrating. Color range is cool, but not for what I want to select.
