  well it's free..
  and you can create a lot of simple motion in high res, with very little resources, if you are online you can tell that certain elements pick information from urls (images or rss content, etc)

  Imagine using data from the news, blogs, or a company site (maybe whoever is throwing the event?)

  I do not know much on how to use it to be honest, I played around a bit w it, but I'm more of a visual person, there are amazing things done every day with it by talented people though.
