is chamonix any good pre christmas, (we are looking at december 10)
what areas should i be looking at to ride, given that we are both high intermediate riders (can handle most terrain, not too worried about park,as i have only done a bit and we dont ride pipe)
what other good areas are around geneva as this will probably be where we are flying in to most likely.
any help is greatly appreciated

I have been in Chamonix around that time.
The snow was good but there was high avalanche risk on quite a few runs, and it took a number of days for them to blast it.
The issue I had with Chamonix was that it wasn;t a fully linked resort, so you ended up getting a bus in the morning and boarding only one area.
I still have a soft spot for Morzine/Avoriaz
I am also a pretty average boarder.
