  Seen a lot of STV's new commercial stings over the weekend. I like what this logo and style is trying to do - trying to be less like a twee scottish channel and more like a 'MTV' identity.

  Bringing up the topic of this being a logo rip ... i wonder if its been a subconcious rip or if it's been ripped straight from a design book sitting in the Elmwood Office?

  I showed my dad the two logos together at the weekend - he's been a Graphic Designer for 30+ years. he was like "ooooof!" - i presume that means "jeeez - thats well too close NOT to be a rip off!"

  I hate it when an identity is 'acronymed' - on a rare occasion, it's fair enough making a long word (or more than one word) into an acronym, but why make a 3 letter brand name into a 1 letter brand name - STV into 'S'
  It's fucking shite, absolutely amateur and the bezier lines are utter gash aswell. I'm no watching it.
