what is your definition of a feminist
- prodigalslacker2
just another label. anyone on the planet with a decent head on their shoulders would treat women equally.

I'd respond but with this 4 next to my name I think that speaks for itself.

most of them seem to be sexists
if feminists were really about equality they'd be called equalists

I'm somewhat of a feminist.
The definition of a feminist includes believing in equal rights for both men and women.

she has a point you know.

(Mar 16 06, 19:50)I don't know if that makes you a feminisit or a baby of our generation who has no idea how the past happened.

Women were better off at home in my opinion. Hell - give me the chance to stay at home all day, cook nice meals, lay in bed till 10, not got to work... I mean - that's BRILLIANT! Fuck were they bitching about??
- kelpie0
plus moth, I mean when you're as woefully shit at anything truly important as most of them are, you might as well eh?
- kelpie0
ah shite! did I forget this?

haha.
There was in fact an article in the times or some other paper I read stating this fact. Now career woman are realising that they yes - they are equal, and they are now missing out on having kids, and if they do have they kids, they dont get to spend any time with them. I would also presume some of them have saggy breasts after burning their bra's in the 60's... It's all downhill really.

i disagree jaline.
i dont think feminists want equal rights, they want the upperhand.
and even their name suggests that.i agree with what someone said earlier in the thread that they should be called "equalists".

i tell you what, i've always thought it would be ace to be the wife of a corrupt politician.
wear nice dresses, go to cocktail parties, have diplomats round for dinner, keep a beautiful modernist house (i always fantasised it would be that frank lloyd wright house out of north by northwest), keep up on current events and the arts, do a bit of philanthropy, have doors opened for you, that kind of thing.
my mother (serious bra-burning feminist of the steinem generation) claims that this fantasy is actually rather punk rock as it's just a way of rebelling against "the hippie establishment" under whose iron grip i was reared. she might not be wrong.

that's a really shit name though, nobody would take them seriously.
