    just for future reference, I am no longer taking part in any birthday threads, no matter who's birthday it is, whether I like them (as I do in spooks and jersey's case) or not.

    Frankly I thin kthey're daft and pointless, I doubt that many people need the ego validation, and I think the endless stream of teh same message over and over from disparate people who don't know the person mentioned is pointless and devaluyes the whole concept of a birthday. I'm also starting to get retina burn from the constant reposting of the same images in those threads over and over which makes them even less unique and 'special' to the person.

    They aren't for the birthdayer anymore, they're one of those social games people play.
